Old Business:

● Robert B Green Update

○ As part of the Rightsizing initiative, the SAISD voted to merge Green and

Bonham with PreK-2 at Green and 3-8 at Bonham

○ This was aligned with the proposal the RPNA voted on in August

○ In mid-November, the SAISD will vote on the final recommendation

● Litter Survey

○ A winner (Tam Hinojosa) was selected

New Business:

● SAFFE Officers’ Updates

○ Car meet-ups/street takeovers/racing on both sides of I-10 are a problem

■ Both officers are actively working on car meet-up concerns,

including uncover officers

■ Officers request neighbors continue to report issues/call SAPD

(anonymously)

■ Do not approach the situation on your own

■ Edward Padilla says D3 has been taking action

● Aware of car meet-ups, including on Isabel St

● Met with neighbors, established communication with

SAFFE officers, provided residents with traffic calming app

& handbook, continue working with SAPD, more patrols

based on peak dates and times, collecting data to

ultimately go to city leaders and demand more resources

● Construction on Isabel is complete

■ Roosevelt & Steve has been quiet

■ Continued issues (e.g. trespassing) at Whataburger

■ 7 arrests with lots of meth recovered

● Conservation Society – Monica Savino

○ Service day at Yturri-Edmunds on Sat 10/28 9 AM to clean grounds

○ Yturri-Edmunds open house on Sat 11/18

○ Long-term goal for Yturri-Edmunds

■ To reactivate tours and facilities for use

■ An update will be provided to RPNA in 6-months

● RPNA T-Shirt Sale

○ 100 shirts for $1,000

○ Caliente Hot Glass volunteered to donate $250 for t-shirts, joining Freetail

Brewing, Nate Young (Devora Realty), and Carnitas Lonja as the official t-

shirt sponsors

○ Shirts will cost $10 each

● Trees in Roosevelt Park – Derek Tulowitzky

○ Mature trees are being planted in Roosevelt Park

○ Thank you to Grace for pushing this initiative

● Bakke Development Corp Update – Liz Stone, Brandt Bakke

○ Plans for development at 207 Roosevelt and surrounding area revealed

○ Timeframe for development is early next year

● Rebecca Boysen - World Heritage Office

○ A re-design of the art installation slated for Roosevelt & Mission is

underway

○ Jeff inquires about a traffic sign hit on mission; a work order was

submitted and Rebecca will look into the possibility of partnering on traffic

calming measures with RPNA

○ Día de los Muertos: Celebrando las Misiones on Oct 28

○ Texas Arbor Day at Mission Marquee on Nov 4

● Diego Bernal’s office – not present

● Juan Moreno – County Commissioner Clay-Flores’ Office

○ Donated popcorn to Movie in the Park event

○ Look for a newsletter from the County Commissioner issued every 2-3

months

○ Approved a boost to county sheriff salaries

○ Budget for park

○ $500K for sidewalks in Southside ISD
