Renovations complete & will open in the summer, but need lifeguards

Ongoing issues at Everkleen Motel, but recently Texas Anti-Gang Task Force intervened and situation has improved
Recent prostitution bust at Gadi Foodmart
District 5 – Officer Hernandez
Recent uptake in (non-organized) crime, often suspects on foot or bike – be vigilant and report suspicious activity
Aware of unhoused presence/activity by I-90 & Roosevelt, public works involved
Burglary in Lone Star where suspect entered from crawl space beneath home is said to be an unusual occurrence (contractor involved)
Call 911 if you hear gun shots and follow-up with Jeff/SAAFE officer
Both sides of Proposition A presented by Jason Sanchez (SAPOA) and Lisl Ost (SA Justice Charter)
6 tenets: decriminalization of marijuana, decriminalization of abortion, ban chokeholds, ban dangerous no knock warrants, codify cite & release, create of a “justice director” role for implementation

Alcanzando La Libertad Financiera, a financial seminar for Spanish- speaking residents, will be held February 27 10am-12:30pm at 3505 Pleasanton Rd

Grace Marengo, RPNA President 2019-2020, is working with Derek and TXDot on a shade tree initiative to create a sound barrier that reduces highway noise

Krystin proposed a new SquareSpace website at $192/ annual for general membership information, neighborhood boundaries, events, etc.

Concepcion Park project approved (contracted but no timeline)

Aware that street parking on S Presa & Grove gets full – call SA Parking if cars are within 15 ft of fire hydrant, 20 from crosswalk, 30 from traffic light
Derek brought a map of Roosevelt Park and requested residents to mark where residents would like to see lighting
Feb 27 6-7 PM planning & zoning activity will impact a small portion of RP south of I-90
Advocates for sound buffer near highway
Funding for recreation/boating on Elmendorf Lake has been approved
Feb 25 8-10 AM free tree giveaway at Rosedale Park (get there early)
Feb 25 10 AM Memorial Branch Library grand re-opening
